
Meet the Team!
We are Matt and Pam Munson, owners of Mischief Strength & Conditioning.
Both of us have been involved in athletics since we were kids, and that has continued for our entire adult lives. At this point, we have been involved in coaching and teaching strength and conditioning for almost 20 years. Including, but not limited to, starting in 2006 the FIRST CrossFit affiliate gym in the Houston TX area…the 4th in the state of TX.
We offer 1-On-1 Personal Training, Remote Coaching and Hybrid (a combo of both) as well as Stand Alone Programs and Subscriptions that you follow on your own in our App.
While the dynamics of the training will be customized to each individual, our “style” is a mixture of ‘old school’ strength training, CrossFit style conditioning. Translated; lots of strength barbell work combined with lots of high intensity CrossFit and odd implement conditioning. It is our firm belief, and conviction, through decades of study, self experimentation and working with thousands of clients…that the most important component of not only any and every fitness endeavor, but also with life, is strength. From strength we can build anything. Without strength, not too many other components of fitness matter much. Therefore, strength is the foundation of our program.

There is no greater medicine than exercise for improved health. And there is no greater exercise than strength training and strength and cardiovascular based conditioning. Improved health, confidence and longevity.

You are literally made from the materials you consume. Sound nutrition that is protein rich and additive free is key to health and longevity. Whole foods and select nutritional supplements.

Lifestyle
Taking a deep look into your life and identifying ways to decrease stress and toxic environments. Get more sleep, walk more, stretch more, drink less, eliminate negativity. Add hot and cold therapy if possible.

Pam Munson
Founder & Coach
Hi, I’m Pam Munson, co-owner of Mischief Strength and Conditioning.
If you’re tired of guessing what to do in the gym, jumping between programs, or feeling stuck in your progress—you’re in the right place.
Since 2006, I’ve helped people of all backgrounds get stronger, move better, and feel more confident in their bodies. Whether you’re brand new, getting back into fitness, navigating postpartum, or looking to level up, I meet you where you are and give you a clear path forward.
My coaching is straightforward and effective—no gimmicks, no fluff. I focus on proper movement, building real strength, and creating fitness that actually carries over into your everyday life. At the same time, I believe the environment matters. You’ll be supported, challenged, and part of a community that wants to see you succeed.
I work with beginners, busy parents, former athletes, and anyone who wants to feel capable again—not just in the gym, but in life.
I also compete in powerlifting and run regularly, so I understand what it takes to train with purpose and consistency—and I bring that into every session.

Matt Munson
Founder & Coach
Hello! I’m Matt Munson, co-owner of Mischief Strength & Conditioning, Certified Personal Trainer, certified Powerlifting Strength Coach, and former firearms instructor.
Physical fitness and health has been a passion of mine ever since I was a kid. I have 20 years experience in coaching people in Fitness, Strength and Conditioning and CrossFit…in both 1-on-1 and group settings, as well as remote coaching. My main emphasis is functional strength training. Strength is not only a primary pillar of health and fitness, strength also gives you confidence and is the key to functional longevity.
Sharing my passion with clients and helping them along their journey of fitness and health is one of the greatest joys I’ve had in life.
I work with beginners, busy parents, former athletes, and anyone who wants to feel capable again—not just in the gym, but in life.
I also compete in powerlifting and run regularly, so I understand what it takes to train with purpose and consistency—and I bring that into every session.
